For JICA Staff
JICA-Net positively promotes distance seminars using IT for various activities (http://www.jica.go.jp/activities/index.html) by JICA.
If you work at the JICA headquarters, JICA overseas and domestic offices (including support staff, project formulation advisor and volunteer coordinator), please consider strategic JICA-Net use of the following.
1.For Training Affairs Staff

You can develop effective training by combining distance lectures, seminars and self-learning contents (multimedia contents) with group training (training in Japan, third country training and in country training). For example:
-Self-learning CD-ROM contents before group training.
-Follow up distance lecturer and seminar after the group training.
-Feature distance lectures and seminars during the group training.

2.For staff in charge of technical cooperation projects

You can provide more effective technical cooperation using distance lectures according to needs from local sites. For example:
-Periodical video conferencing between overseas office and headquarters.
-Hold distance seminars to increase performance of counterparts.
-Hold distance lectures and seminars instead of short-term experts.
-Improve skills of counterparts using WBT (Web Based Training).

3.For staff in charge of volunteer activities

Please use video conferencing system to support volunteer activities. For example:
-Correspondence with technical advisers.
-Information exchange with JOCV in other counties.

4.For staff in charge of other activities

It is possible to use the distance lectures in every phase of JICA international cooperation.
